The Main Hall is Te Whare Maui's most sought-after space. It is spacious, adaptable, and equally at home hosting an intimate gathering or a grand celebration. Its open layout and soaring ceiling allow for effortless reconfiguration to suit any seating arrangement, activity, or performance.
Through our close relationship with local Māori artists, we're privileged to showcase striking artwork throughout the hall, lending the space a distinct sense of place and character.
The hall comes fully equipped to support your event from start to finish, with an in-house sound system, wireless microphones, stage lighting, and three professional projector screens, all managed by our soundbooth technicians. Te Whare Maui proudly offers authentic Māori cultural support and services. This includes Mihi Whakatau to formally welcome guests, Kapa Haka performances to showcase Māori culture, and Kai Māori to complete the experience. Enquire with our team for further details.

Our venue comes equipped with an in-house sound system, wireless microphones, stage lighting, and more. Three professional projector screens let you display one large image, three individual images, or any mix in between, with soundbooth technicians on hand to manage the basics.
Audio–Visual
We supply hirers with optional use of 250 cushioned chairs, with 100 extra non-cushioned chairs available if needed, along with 20 round tables and 20 rectangular tables. Hirers can also request lecterns, teleprompters, mic stands, and more. Ask about our setup and pack down services.
Equipment
We offer a large, private, and enclosed carpark, free for all guests, along with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the venue for both guests and organisers.
Parking & Wi-Fi
Our preferred caterer offers a delicious, professional menu for hirers of our venue. Our hospitality services help set the mood for any event, including black tablecloths, tea and coffee stations, table decorations, and catering supplies for up to 200 guests. Heating and air-conditioning are available.
